Remo Stars have taken control of the fledgling Nigeria Professional Football League table for the season after the conclusion of Matchday 2.
Gbenga Ogunbote's young squad who returned to the top flight this term recorded a back-to-back victory with their latest victims being Heartland.
Two earlier goals from Andy Okpe in the fourth and fifth minutes and Samuel Anakwe's in the 71st minute ensured the three points in the kitty of the Sky Blue Stars.
Enyimba also make it two wins out of two matches. But instead of Remo Stars' plus five goal difference, Enyimba have plus two.
Emeka Obioma recorded the lone goal in the 88th minute for the People’s Elephant against Rangers at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
Akwa United could not sustain Utibe Archibong's effort in the 29th minute as Shooting Stars redeem themselves at home in the 90th minute through Ayo Adetutu.
The draw means that United drop to third spot, while Shooting Stars fail to win in two straight matches that ended with shared honours.
River United are also on foot points from two fixtures after an emphatic 3-0 result over Katsina United.
In the game at Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt, Ishaq Rafiu Kayode produced a brace in the 28th and 57th minutes, Chijioke Akuneto added the ice on the cake five minutes later.
Kwara United disappointed in Jos with Muhammad Zulkifilu scoring the only goal of the match in the fifth minute.
Wikki Tourists and Sunshine Stars, both with their Matchday 1 outstanding, got their campaign off the ground. While Wikki won by a lone goal against Niger Tornadoes to be placed sixth on the log, Sunshine Stars lost by the same margin in Okigwe to Abia Warriors.
Their second defeat in a row has placed Lagos side MFM at the foot of the table. They share the infamous honour with Katsina United.
