NPFL: Remo Stars snatch point in Uyo, remain top

Remo Stars remain on top of the table and have to worry about Monday's game through which Kwara United will be lifted to No 1 if they beat hosts Abia Warriors. Remo Stars have only a two-point advantage over the Ilorin side.

The Sky Blue Stars have Samuel Anakwe to thank for cancelling Dakkada's early goal by Murit

ala Lawal (12th minute) in Uyo.

Rangers are  seven steps up to No 4 after walloping Niger Tornadoes in Enugu.

Kenechukwu Agu score twice (58th minute penalty and in the 71st minute) while Shedrack Asiegbu (73rd minute) and Christian Nnaji (90th) add spice.

Akwa United's defeat in Lafia drags the depending champions a step back to third.

Michael Tochukwu and Silas Nwankwo are the scores for the home side respectively in the 53rd and 83 minutes.

That result takes Nasarawa United from 11th to seventh, and marks their first win of the season.

Rivers United are held to a barren outcome in Port Harcourt by Sunshine Stars. That means the Pride of Rivers, who were joint second with Akwa United before the matches, are now fourth.

Kano Pillars pull the biggest win of the day as they sent Enyimba back to their base in Aba with a 2-0 win. It marks Enyimba's back-to-back defeats, which drag them down the table to from fifth to ninth. And it's Pillars first hurrah in the season.

Wikki Tourist and Plateau United are among the gainers. The former wallop Lagos side MFM 4-0 in Bauchi to go sixth from 12th, while Plateau United defeat Heartland 3-0 in Jos to place 8th instead of the previous 13th.

Given their horrible defeat, MFM return to the drop zone.

Full results... Kano Pillars 2-0 Enyimba, Wikki Tourist 3-0 MFM, Rivers United 0-0 Sunshine Stars, Rangers 4-0 Niger Tornadoes, Nasarawa United 2-0 Akwa United, Plateau United 3-0 Heartland, Dakkada 1-1 Remo Stars

Monday fixtures: Abia Warriors v Kwara United, Gombe United v Lobi Stars, Shooting Stars v Katsina United (4 pm)
