Ehiguese, Mediacraft CEO, inducted into Marketing Edge Hall of Fame

John Ehiguese, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mediacraft Associates, has been inducted into the prestigious Marketing Edge Hall of Fame. By that, he became a recipient of the PR Torch Bearer award.

Last Friday, the Public Relations specialist was recognised for his outstanding contributions to the Nigerian Integrated Marketing Communications industry at the maiden edition of the Marketing Edge Hall of Fame held at the Radisson Hotel Ikeja, Lagos.

Marketing Edge Group, the organisers of the event, said it was conceived to recognise accomplished professionals, who have distinguished themselves in their various areas of specialisation in the Nigerian Integrated Marketing Communications industry.

Ehiguese was celebrated as one of the top 21 personalities inducted into 11 categories. He was an honoree and inductee in the ‘PR Torch Bearer’ category.

At the induction ceremony, John Ajayi, the Publisher of Marketing Edge magazine and Chief Executive Officer of Marketing Edge Group, congratulated the PR don for his emergence into the Marketing Edge Hall of Fame. He described Ehiguese as a distinguished professional who has recorded outstanding feats in the Public Relations industry.

Receiving the award, Ehiguese, who was represented, said the award would spur him to do more. 'It is an honour to be recognised and inducted into the Marketing Edge Hall of Fame,' he said. 

'Indeed, it is humbling to be a recipient of "PR Torch Bearer category" in the maiden edition of Marketing Edge Hall of Fame. My sincere appreciation goes to the organisers of the event, the Marketing Edge Group, for this special recognition', he further said, adding that the induction would encourage him to contribute more to the growth of Public Relations in the country and beyond.

Ehiguese founded Mediacraft Associates Limited in 2003, and has since nurtured it to become one of the leading PR consultancies in Nigeria, and the exclusive Nigeria affiliate of the Fleishman Hillard global PR network.

He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relation, the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria and Public Relations Consultants Association-UK. He is a fellow of the African Public Relations Association.

Ehiguese is the Immediate Past President of the Public Relations Consultants Association of Nigeria and a Board Member of the International Communications Consultancy Organisation.

He holds an MBA from the Lagos Business School of the Pan Atlantic University (2004).  He is also an alumnus of the IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain and the University of Central Lancashire, United Kingdom.

Some of the other inductees are Steve Babaeko, Chief Operating Officer of X3M Ideas; Lanre Adisa, CEO/Founder of Noah’s Ark; and Yomi Badejo-Okusanya, Group Managing Director, CMC Connect (Perception Managers).

Nigeria's Covid-19 situation is now alarming! NCDC calls in security agencies to enforce Covid protocol, as Omicron ravages

The  Nigeria Centre for Disease Control  (NCDC) has urged security agencies to collaborate with religious bodies in the enforcement of Covid-19 safety protocols during the festive season. The new concern follows several disturbing factors, particularly the realisation that Nigeria is now the third ranked African country in Omicron infections, after South Africa (1,296 cases) and Botswana (291). NCDC says Nigeria has recorded 45 Omicron cases as of 20th December. On Friday, NCDC announced 1,356 fresh Covid infections which moved the total figure to 234,709. On hundred and ninety-seven Covid patients recovered on Friday to bring Nigeria's total recoveries to 212,237, while two fatalities were reported to take the figure to 2,993. In all, there are 19,479 active Covid -19 cases in Nigeria. NCDC said the first Omicron case in Nigeria was detected in a sample on 9th November.
